Seven News unveils new-look Brisbane studio

Seven News Mt Coot-Tha studio is completely stripped and re-built for a brand new look.

Seven News Brisbane last new debuted a new look studio -the biggest change for the Mount Coot-Tha broadcasting facility in almost two decades.

The project has been months in the making, with the studio being completely stripped and re-built from scratch. A new LED video screen now comprises the Brisbane background, spanning 14 metres in total.

Director of 7NEWS for Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Michael Coombes said: “Every day, we’re committed to delivering the news that matters to south-east Queensland. This new set builds on that promise and gives us exciting ways to enhance how we tell your stories.”

Sharyn Ghidella said: “Our priority is bringing Queenslanders the best news service every day, seven days a week.

“We’re grateful for the people who trust us with their stories, and to the viewers who tune in every night.”

Max Futcher said: “We’d also like to acknowledge the great number of people who have worked for months behind the scenes to build this new set.

“It’s truly been a team effort and we are excited about how these changes will increase our capability to deliver a quality news service to our viewers every night.”
