Boy Swallows Universe reaches Netflix global Top 5

Brissy-based drama adapted from Trent Dalton novel becomes a global hit.

New Aussie TV drama Boy Swallows Universe, produced by Brouhaha Entertainment, Chapter One Pictures and Anonymous Content is currently #5 in Netflix’s global Top 10 TV Shows and #2 in Australia’s Top 10.

The series has hit the Weekly Top 10 in 47 countries including #8 in the UK and #10 in the USA.

Since its release last Thursday, the series set in 1980s Brisbane has won rave reviews and gained 3.6M views. On Rotten Tomatoes it has a 90% critics ratings (and 89% audience rating).

  1. As a Brisbane local I’m enjoying playing location bingo. But I’m hooked on the story. There are so many subtle reminders of life in 1985 and the actors are fantastic. We binged the first from episodes last night and plan to watch the rest today.
