Rumour: Next Tracy Grimshaw project?

Is former ACA host about to front a new medical documentary series for Nine?

Next week Nine will confirm Tracy Grimshaw’s new show for 2024 at a media function in Melbourne.

TV Tonight hears whispers she will host the upcoming factual series Do You Want To Live Forever?

The series, announced at last year’s Upfront presentation, sees Dr Nick Coatsworth guiding Aussies on a journey to stop the clock and turn back time. The series offers insights into DNA, disease and treatments, whether we can wind back our biological clocks, and analyses the secrets of living younger longer.

Filming is expected to take place between January and April,  produced by Lune Media.

In her 45 years at Nine, Tracy Grimshaw has been a reporter for Nine News, hosted Today, presented variety TV at Midday and anchored A Current Affair for 17 years.

She has become synonymous with landmark interviews, which may continue should she also be one of the two new reporters to be announced for 60 Minutes next week.

Nine previously stated the former ACA host could be involved in more than one project in 2024.

A stand-alone interview show would entail production costs in Nine’s Olympic year, but as a 60 Minutes reporter any travel would be borne by the show’s own budget. Grimshaw joining 60 Minutes could be a win / win, boosting the show without directly boosting network costs.

Nine declined to comment on the rumour only noting, “All will be revealed on January 19!”

  1. Medical show sounds lame, I question why or how a self help concept like that is relevant to free to air television viewers who can now seek help and advice via Google/social media. It sounds like a tv concept from the 90s for the 90s and it would be such a shame to see Tracy attached to it.
