Returning: Death in Paradise

Caribbean mystery series returns to Sundays on ABC.

Season 12 of Death in Paradise will have a Free to Air premiere on ABC later this month.

The series with Ralf Little, Don Warrington & Elizabeth Bourgine, screened on Subscription TV a year ago.

8 new episodes will screen in an early Sunday night slot.

Later this year ABC will also premiere a Return to Paradise series filmed in Australia.

The sun-soaked, smash-hit whodunnit returns for more murder mysteries with a light touch and a warm heart. DI Neville Parker has more crimes to solve on the blissful island of Saint Marie, kicking off with the mysterious death of a celebrity astronomer. And on a quiet hillside on the island, a bunch of Preppers are digging in for the apocalypse when one of them is killed. There’s also a baffling killing on a boat, a famous singer who finds herself under suspicion, a shocking murder at a wedding, and a simple domestic murder – that turns out to be Neville’s greatest ever challenge.

7:30pm Sunday February 18 on ABC.

  1. It’s hard to believe that 12 years have past so quickly since I watched the first episode of Murder in Paradise, the well cast choice of character actors in season one had a lot of story development potential even though the murder set-ups became predictable in typical British detective serial style. After Ben Miller decided to leave the show the story lost a major part of its appeal at least for me, even more so when French actress Sara Martins quit as well, it was not long after that I stopped watching the show.
