Media Watch last night highlighted a very poor stuff-up by ABC Hobart in which a news bulletin erroneously played 2019 AFL footage instead of 2024 games.
What the?
“Yep, ABC Hobart put to air a five-year-old sports report. Something it fessed up to the following night,” said host Paul Barry.
ABC News presenter Guy Stayner (pictured) told Hobart viewers, “And we begin sport tonight with an apology for playing the wrong AFL story in last night’s news. We played an old story with an identical title which was accidentally included in our bulletin.”
“Last weekend sports fans watching ABC 7pm news were scratching their heads when the AFL weekend round up came on…
