He now wants someone with whom to share it. His ideal partner is funny, outgoing, adventurous, understands the long hours of his work, can banter and gets along with everyone, especially his nanna, whose disapproval could be a dealbreaker.

    1. Awful “advice”. 22 is a great age for marriage especially for women looking to start a family. Female fertility (and viability) unfortunately plummets in their 30s, so they hardly have time to waste in that respect.

There’ll be ample opportunity for them to enjoy their lives by raising healthy, happy children as opposed to a life of corporate drudgery and/or promiscuity and/or the purgatory of long-term cohabitation (which I’d argue is the equivalent of getting “friendzoned” for women, albeit more destructive).

Likewise, one of the farmers is also only 22. Perhaps he ought to “enjoy” his life as well (and risk rendering himself ill-suited for marriage in the process). Youth is so fleeting and I would have settled down a lot younger if I could have.

If anything, we could do with more “marriage” shows and fewer sleazy “dating” ones.

      1. Marriage is an institution that has been passed down from one generation to another…..it is ingrained in most people from the day they are born….grow up, get married, have a house….bring kids into the world….but not everyone needs to conform nowadays….there are plenty of people who are happy to just cohabitate… to have or not have children…..some people are happy being single and living a life without
complications…..some young people get married because their friends are getting married….some even get sucked in by ..the house, the kids, the car, the dog, the o/s holidays which all look appealing…then a few years later they are sitting in a solicitors office sorting out who gets what including the kids…as for female fertility what a stereotypical remark…do some homework…women are having children in later life including their 40s…some don’t even want kids at all..if anything we could do without some desperate people intending to say I do…then don’t… by using a tv show to find love..
