Renewed: 9-1-1

US procedural series 9-1-1 has been renewed for an eighth season.

It marks the second season at its newest home on ABC after it was previously cancelled by FOX.

The series stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Kenneth Choi, Aisha Hinds, Ryan Guzman and Gavin McHugh. Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear created the series, with Minear serving as showrunner.

The renewal comes as the show is set to air its 100th episode stateside this week.

In Australia Seven is set to launch the seventh season on April 15.
