For all of the profanity featured on the show, it’s heartening to know that the arbiters of morals and good taste over at Netflix have protected our impressionable and easily-offended eyes from such a triggering sequence of three letters. In keeping with the spirit of the show, surely something like “SuperGronks” would have been a more sensible compromise. The official retitle is so unimaginatively and cynically “corporate”.
In other news, The Wog Boy films have been acquired and rebranded as The Bro Boys.
They haven’t changed it for our eyes, but for international, who don’t really grasp the word wog with the same affection as Australia.
However, two of the characters are called “Wog Dad” and “Wog Mum”, so it’s a bit superfluous. “Bro Dad” and “Bro Mum” don’t have the same ring.
