Airdate: Paul O’Grady’s Great Elephant Adventure

SBS screens the final television project by the late Paul O’Grady.

Two part documentary series Paul O’Grady’s Great Elephant Adventure screens on SBS this week and next.

The late Paul O’Grady travels through Thailand and Laos to celebrate the work by elephant conservation centres to rescue, rehabilitate and protect them.

According to IMDb this is his final television project.

Episode One:
Paul travels to the hills surrounding Chiang Mai in northern Thailand, an area that’s home to over half the country’s 3,000 domesticated elephants. It’s also home to Thailand’s largest elephant rescue centre – the Elephant Nature Park, run by world renowned conservationist Lek Chailert. The park provides sanctuary to 120 elephants who have escaped a hard life’s graft in the logging and tourism industries.

7:35pm Friday May 3 and 10 on SBS.

  1. Such a lovely man. He was a scream as Lily Savage. It was kinda nice when he felt comfortable to step out of drag so late in his career and simply be Paul for a while.
