How many Baby Reindeer viewers in Australia looked into the story afterwards?

Survey says Aussies loved hit Netflix series, with many siding with star Richard Gadd.

Many Australians who watched Baby Reindeer believed the version of events as recounted by writer and star Richard Gadd, over the woman who self-identified as his ‘stalker’, Fiona Harvey.

Two thirds of those who watched went looking for more information on the story and its characters afterwards.

UK-owned market research firm conducted a survey online over the past week.

Methodology: YouGov Surveys: Serviced provides quick survey results from nationally representative or targeted audiences in multiple markets. This study was conducted online between 23 May and 28 May 2024, with a national sample of 1,034 Australians, using a questionnaire designed by YouGov. Data figures have been weighted by age, gender, and location to be representative of all adults in Australia (18 years or older) as per the latest population estimates provided by the ABS.

  1. What this show has beautifully done is not just provided a compelling, entertaining study of obsession and emotional addiction, but also made viewers complicit in the same study by their commitment to finding out more; to revel in the shocks and twists and dig deeper and deeper. These stats demonstrate that perfectly. I’m guilty! I was so invested, I watched a Piers Morgan interview (whilst stifling nausea at his every syllable).
