Meet 'Mystery Marc' Fennell....

Whenever a new Marc Fennell-produced documentary comes my way I know two things…. it’s going to be a fascinating yarn that hooks me in, and our trusty host will be wearing black as he gazes longingly towards the horizon….
Whether it’s in Stuff the British Stole, The Mission, The Kingdom or Came from Nowhere, there’s a trademark glance that he should patent very soon.
I even joked about this with Marc recently, who took it in his stride.
“It is my thing, we literally have a term for it,” he laughed. “We’ll shoot the master interview, then some ‘walk and talk’ stuff, and then one of the camos picks up sort of beautiful detailed shots, and the other camo grabs the gimbal, and we do what we call ‘Mystery Marc’, which is me walking around!”
To be fair, there were none I could uncover for Mastermind, Framed, The School that Ends Racism, The Feed or The Movie Show.
Stuff the British Stole screens 8pm Mondays on ABC.

Does someone have a mancrush?
I did have a fleeting TV crush on Callum Hole in the jungle (who didn’t?) but Mystery Marc is worth a fun post.
