Star sprung ‘snorting in loo’

Craig McLachlan plays the first star cameo in Adam Zwar’s new comedy Lowdown this week.

But it’s just as well he doesn’t play himself, given that Zwar’s tabloid journo character finds him buying cocaine in a hotel toilet.

It’s all part of the new ABC1 series in which Zwar plays an entertainment gossip newshound.

The subversive series premieres this Wednesday against impossible competition including The Pacific, Hey Hey it’s Saturday and So You Think You Can Dance Australia.

And that ain’t no laughing matter.

It airs at 9pm.
