US legal drama Suits has been renewed for a third season.
USA Network has approved the cable series starring Gabriel Macht and Patrick J. Adams for 16 more episodes.
It follows recent renewals for White Collar, Royal Pains and Covert Affairs.
USA co-presidents Jeff Wachtel and Chris McCumber said in a statement, “Quite simply, Suits is as good as it gets. Sophisticated storytelling, sharp dialogue, and award-worthy performances make this show a cornerstone of our original programming lineup.”
The second half of season two, which consists of six episodes, will air in the US in January.
It airs in Australia on Seven.

Hello when will Suits be back on tv in 2013 ? Please
When is Suits continuing on Seven in 2013?
Talking about legal dramas I agree that these two are amongst the best, not quite up to Judge John Deed standard, but completely addictive. It is a shame that Raffertys Rules is not on again now.
This and The Good Wife are the two best legal series on TV hands down. 16 episodes a year is killing me though… so completely addictive.
One of the best shows on television
Let us hope that it is not treated as badly as series two has been. Scheduled for 11.00 and later frequently getting to air around 11.50 pm. The only good thing about the late time slot is that the commercial breaks are shorter.
