New Suits companion series in development

A new series in the universe of Suits is in development.

Series creator Aaron Korsh is in the early stages of developing a show set in the world of his legal drama. But not a spinoff, reboot, prequel, or sequel to the original show. Rather, it would feature entirely new characters in a new setting.

The news comes after Suits spent 12 straight weeks as the most streamed title in the United States, according to Nielsen data, where it is available on both Netflix and Peacock.

The original series starred Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, Rick Hoffman, Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Torres and Amanda Schull; Dulé Hill and Katherine Heigl. It ran for nine seasons and led to the spinoff Pearson, following Gina Torres’ character.
