Nine / Fairfax streaming service Stan is the latest to join Apple TV, making life much easier for subscribers to stream HD content.
It joins Netflix, TENPlay and FOX Sports already available on the platform.
Stan CEO Mike Sneesby, said, “Apple TV is a critical platform for leading streaming services and has always been a high priority in our development roadmap. Since launch we have received more requests from subscribers for a Stan app to be available on Apple TV than any other device.
“We’re thrilled to be launching on Apple TV today and will continue to make Stan’s lineup of award-winning TV shows and blockbuster movies available on more and more devices.”
SVOD titles include Better Call Saul, Transparent, Dig and Community plus seasons of Breaking Bad, Fargo, movies, docos and kid’s TV.
Stan still offers a 30-day free trial ahead of its monthly $10 fee.

Have tried out all 3. Presto, Netflix and Stan and have kept Stan only. Very happy it’s now on Apple TV, just improves the process of watching it more
Stan is the best for me with variety, HD and Transparent!
Excellent news, I’ll be signing back up tonight. Nice to see Stan finally finding a way to be in the same league as Netflix. Presto/foxtel should seriously take note of this.
Playstation next please – then I’ll be happy to give it a whirl.
I’d bee keen to see all the FTA catch-ups on the Foxtel IQ3 Apps page.
I’d be keen just to see Plus7 have all its content available across all its devices. As far as I know it is the only FTA catch up service which doesn’t offer all of its catch up content on mobile devices. But if all the networks managed to get all their catalogues available across their apps then I too would love to see it available on the IQ3. Heck, just add the Chromecast feature to all the apps. Currently only ABC iView and SBS On Demand offer it and it is a pain as the Chrome Extension is only in Beta so there is major lag if you try to stream from the networks websites to the Chromecast.
