Nine Strips an episode switch

Pay attention, now. Nine will skip two episodes of its newest drama, The Strip.

Episode 4 of The Strip airs tonight in all cities except Melbourne which takes the live AFL Footy Show Grand Final from 8:30pm.

But next week Nine skips the 5th and 6th episodes in favour of Episode 7. The switch will see Melbourne viewers watching the show in the order of #3, #7, #4.

8:30pm Footy Show GTV

Thu Oct 2

Sun Oct 5 TCN / GTV / QTQ

  1. Yeah, that’s my question too. If they skipped two episodes, wouldn’t the story change or do they not ever, progress with a story? I was under the impression that this series was going to delve into the underworld of the Gold Coast, like deal with the gangsters, and syndicates?

  2. The Strip!……..watched all of 9 minutes of it last night, whilst waiting for the Grand Final edition of theFooty show to come on.

When are the Aussie TV suits going to get it!!!!…….If you don’t have the same BUDGET as CSI Miami or X-files to create a cop show…………you DON’T stand a chance……Australian audiences are not dumb!!…we can see mediocrity, and what 9 served up last night was CRAP.

Was it a case of one too many cop shows to fit the Sydney Harbour Bridge in,……so we’ll go to the Gold Coast beach instead and rip off CSI Miami, and include Schoolies and Toolies, umpteen aerial shots of the Gold Coast CBD, 147 mobile phone end call handheld flips, majority of the cast was under 27, except for Frankie J. and ………oh yeah!!!!!…and lets make a drama about teenage internet porn…………C’mon PLEASE.

Bring back Cop Shop, Division 4, Homicide, and Matlock Police.
Crawford Productions would be welcomed back anyday

    Seeya later Strip!

  3. Nine has lost the plot.

Here is my memo to Nine management.

    Please read and digest –
    Episodes go in order
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 etc..If unsure ask a ten year old to count and sort for you (don’t ask a member of your programming staff or your talent like Jules Lund & Bert.

If really unsure, send a message to TVtonight and I am sure someone here will get back to you and patiently explain the bloody obvious.

    P.S. Where is Eddie ?

  4. It is funny how I choose to not watch much on Ch9 because everything I start to watch gets moved or axed. I have bought Canal Road and enjoyed that on DVD, I do not know why it couldn’t have aired at 8.30 after Underbelly finished. The Strip never rated on my radar because of 9’s bad treatment of TV Shows, and now I read that even CSI Miami will be off air to make room for The Mentalist which had bad reviews in the US anyway. Whats the point of supporting Ch 9

  5. I find it continually peculiar how often TV networks show active contempt for their viewing audience. It defies logic that they think this kind of behaviour encourages people to watch their programming. How can they expect to compete with other forms of entertainment, be it pay TV, internet downloads, or DVD, if they are constantly doing this kind of thing?
