Death sentence due for Prison Break?

Cast members of Prison Break have been told they may have to extend their season for another 2 eps.

The cast on Prison Break have been notified that their filming schedule might be extended to accommodate production of two additional episodes -fuelling speculation that they might signal a wrap to the series.

If the two episodes are made, their fate is unclear as the network has not committed yet to air them.

The drama has struggled in the ratings in the US this season and the remaining six episodes of its original 22-show order weren’t on the network’s recently released mid-season schedule.

The Hollywood Reporter says a more plausible scenario has FOX airing the two episodes as a two-hour “event” next season, not unlike the 24: Redemption prequel due in just over a week.

Seven has indicated it will return unaired episodes in the week commencing November 23rd, likely to screen on a new night, Wednesday 26th (to be confirmed).

It would make a great match with 24: Redemption on the same night….

  1. I agree with the previous responses, throwing Mike and co in prison for a second time was a horrendous idea. The plots were great at the start of this season but its gotten really farfetched lately. I love absurdist drama, Heroes and Lost pull it off really well, but PB has been really cheesy lately and they’ve killed off a ton of random characters.

  2. I threw my hands up and quit this show at the end of last season, when Michael didn’t kill that incredibly annoying bitch character Gretchen.

Once these guys escaped from prisons one and two, this show had nowhere to go but down.

  3. I like the show and i’m enjoying the new season. I don’t really know how much longer they could keep it going, but the way the show is currently more like a spin off series than the original show, i’m sure they could keep changing things up.

As someone who’s been watching from the beginning, I don’t mind if they end it, as long as there is a proper end to it which it looks like there will be. Thats all you can ask for really, the shows been a good ride, as long as there’s an end in sight.

  4. so, let me get this straight, they havent scheduled the six remaining eps but they have ordered another 2?? that sounds a little odd.
I love this show but have found myself increasingly watching it because ive come this far with it and im damned if im giving up now, rather than watching it because I want to…I really hope this is the last season and it departs with a bang!

  5. I know a lot of people who said PB should have ended last season but this is network TV so they want to squeeze what they can out of the show till it’s dead. I hope they give it the send off it deserves, even if it went off track in recent seasons.

So no word on 24: Redemption yet then David?

  6. It has been very average this season. I am only watching it assuming this is the end and have watched it from the very beginning. I don’t really enjoy it any more but hopefully it can go out on a high
