Hugh Sheridan, triple threat.
At just 24 years old Hugh Sheridan is about to step into a world completely removed from the Rafters family.

Hugh Jackman is known as a triple threat, actor, singer, dancer, and Hugh Sheridan could be following in his path.
In June the Packed to the Rafters star is set to appear in a cabaret piece for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
The Logie nominee will take a break from TV to appear in Newley Discovered, a musical tribute to the late, great 20th century British actor and singer-songwriter Anthony Newley.
Newley wrote hit songs, many with lyricist Leslie Bricusse, including What Kind of Fool Am I?, Candy Man, Goldfinger, plus musicals including Stop the World I want to Get Off and music for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
It’s a world apart from his role as the romantic, if hapless, Rafters son, and at just 24 years old nods to some ambitions within the young actor.
Sheridan told news.com.au he landed the gig through his friendship with Cabaret Festival artistic director David Campbell, and his associate producer and wife, Lisa.
“When they were appointed to the Cabaret Festival I told them I’d love to do something and they said, ‘Great, because we were going to ask you’,” he said.
Campbell is producing Sheridan’s show, directed by Dean Bryant with music by veteran performer Phil Scott.
“We certainly want to get across how popular he was,” Sheridan says.
Newley Discovered plays at Adelaide’s Festival Theatre June 10 and 11.
Foxtel is also a sponsor of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.
