Deadline for 2024 Logie judges

For the first time in its 64-year history, the TV Week Logie Awards is putting a call out to members of the media and television industries to be part of expanded judging panels and have their say on the nominees for television’s night of nights.
Applications will close this Friday 15 March at 5.00pm AEDT.
Judges should have at least five years’ professional experience in the television or screen industries. They can be currently employed by a broadcaster and require the capacity to take on the role between Friday 26 April and Monday 20 May (includes four weekends across this period).
Judges will receive their own secure login to an online voting platform to assess submissions against respective criteria and cast their overall score. All criteria and submissions will be provided to judges via the platform. Criteria to be assessed will include performances, scripting and direction, audience appeal, entertainment values, production values, excellence in coverage etc. Each broadcaster will provide this information to be scored in their respective submissions.
All judges will need to vote on:
Best Lead Actor in a Drama
Best Lead Actress in a Drama
Best Supporting Actor
Best Supporting Actress
Best Drama Program
Best Miniseries or Telemovie
Best Entertainment Program
Based on area of expertise and interest, judges can opt in for remaining categories:
Reality and Lifestyle
Best Competition Reality Program
Best Structured Reality Program
Best Lifestyle Program
Sport and Children’s
Best Sports Coverage
Best Children’s Program
Comedy
Best Lead Actor in a Comedy
Best Lead Actress in a Comedy
Best Scripted Comedy
Best Comedy Entertainment Program
News/Current Affairs and Factual/Documentary
Best News or Public Affairs Presenter
Best Current Affairs Program
Best News Coverage or Public Affairs Report
Best Factual or Documentary Program

Why not going back to the public in voting for the public nominations?
There’s a chance that networks can put up their own stars (that meet the criteria) and vote for their network stars only…. which defeats the point of the whole thing
I hope you are putting your name in the ring, David Knox.
You have to hope that someone employed by a broadcaster would not just vote for their shows an talent. Also you would need an even spread of judges between the broadcasters
Why not have one non industry judge on the panel to make it even fairer!
