Returning: The Big Bang Theory

Updated: It's getting just a tad hard to remember how many times it has been stopped and re-started by Sheldon, Leonard and Penny are back.

bbt1It’s getting just a tad hard to remember how many times it has been stopped and re-started by Sheldon, Leonard and Penny are back for another big bite at Nine, with the return of the sitcom from 9pm Tuesday June 23rd.

Update: This date is now out, but the show is still imminent. Date to be advised shortly.

The Big Bang Theory follows the reruns of Two and Half Men, also by its creator Chuck Lorre.

It returns with “The Panty Pinata Polarization,” Ep 7 of S2. It aired in the US last November.

Bit of a shame it hasn’t established a better foothold here, it’s not such a bad little show.

  1. Nine are in the bizarre a wealth of solidly funny studio aud sitcoms but they’re totally reluctant to use them, it’s idiotic! Luckily comedy seems to be going thru a mini-revival all over the sked now that there’s 7 sitcoms currently on the air (8 if you’re in Melbourne) hopefully we get more shows like Big Bang and less like Missing Pieces or those other awful boring reality skeins

  2. I love Big Bang Theory, It’s like the American version of the IT Crowd (Because i havent seen the real US version of The IT Crowd but im assuming it will be crap)

  3. good to hear, i started watching big bang this year and really enjoyed it and was disappointed when it was taken off. hopefully nine will keep it on the air this time, should rate well since it following two and a half men.

  4. This show is one of the funniest comedies I have seen in years 9 should of never taken it off too bad I have managed to see all of season 2 by other means.

  5. I hated the first few episodes I watched, but I have caught it on and off again and it wasn’t too bad. I was getting just over a million when it last aired following 2 1/2 Men, Nine just need to be patient with it, its was rating better than Seven’s Mother and Earl and those shows are still on the air.

  6. It’s a *brilliant* show. All of Chuck “2.5 Men” Lorre’s actual talent obviously went into this one.

I honestly don’t expect Nine to leave this on for more than a month.
