From the “tell us something we didn’t know” department comes confirmation that Mad Men has been picked up for a fourth series by the AMC network.
The darling of the critics and award shows (with no less than 16 Emmy noms this month), the series will again be driven by creator Matthew Weiner, who has a major deal with the network and Lionsgate.
“It’s been extremely gratifying to see Mad Men develop in to such a pop-cultural phenomenon with such a passionate fan base,” said AMC’s Charlie Collier.
“With this early fourth season renewal, we’re excited to let our audience know the captivating world of Sterling Cooper will be back on AMC again next year.”
The third season premiere drew a record 4.5 million US viewers last month. This season has been double last year’s.
