Ally McBeal reunion

It must be the season. Here's another bunch of TV favourites who got back together this week.

ally_mcbealThe dancing baby, the unisex bathroom, the quirky stories, the fantasy storytelling, the Vonda Shepard songs…seven years after Ally McBeal ended, the cast reunited for Good Morning America to plug their DVD release.

The show ran from 1997 to 2002 set in the fictional Boston law firm Cage, Fish and Associates. Writer David E. Kelley, who also sat down for the chat, certainly had an amazing output.

Jane Krakowski, who was in New York is there via link. No Lucy Liu, Portia De Rossi or Dame Edna Everage either….

But how good does Courtney Thorne-Smith look?

You can see the clip here following an ad.

A second part of the interview is yet to air.

  1. Fantastic! Thanks for that … it was my favourite show at the time …
They are all looking great … if Courtney is not brought back to Melrose it will be a crime!
    Jack!

  2. This show started it all with the fantasy sequences, which are so overused now.
Scrubs is one show that comes to mind.
Courtney Thorne Smith is looking Hot. Could she be the next one to return to Melrose?

  3. great post – Peter MacNichol was so hilarious in the series – great character – and Robert Downey Junior sobered up to join the cast and stage a comeback.
I have a real prejudice towards Courtney Thorne Smith – thought she was terrible in Melrose, and this and that excreble Belushi sitcom. Jane Krakowski another american gem – so talented – can sing, act, dance – great in 30 rock.
More great memories – thanks David

  4. Lucy Liu and Portia De Rossi didn’t join the series until season two from memory, so maybe why there are not there. Portia De Rossi is brilliant in Better off Ted.
