Satirical series Review with Myles Barlow has won a second season from ABC TV.
Phil Lloyd will return as ‘Myles Barlow‘ for six more episodes in which he dissects life with all the biting sarcasm of a critic.
He gives review ratings to life’s experiences and dilemmas such as racism, breast implants and cult leaders peppering it with plenty of comment in the process.
“Apparently I signed some agreement forcing me to do a second series or face legal action,” said Barlow. “So well done ABC, I guess you have me over a barrel.”
Co-created with Trent O’Donnell, the series has become a cult hit, picking up both Logie and AFI nominations. Even more significantly, the format has been sold to the United States, the UK, Scandinavia and Belgium.
Executive Producer Debbie Lee, said; “We are really happy and excited that ‘Myles’ has legally agreed to do a second series of Review. I am sure he is secretly happy to be working again with his very talented collaborators Phil Lloyd and Trent O’Donnell.”
The new series will go into production in December and air on ABC2 in late 2010.

bloody excellent series, exactly the type of stuff the ABC should be doing.
5 stars.
this show is one of those that are great too watch.
I honestly thought his name was Myles Barlow…fail
Me thinks all of those awards & selling the format to all of those countries made ABC wake up & take notice.
Having Myles back on our screens next year: Five Stars!

Late 2010?? I can’t wait that long! It’s an excellent show – well done ABC for recommissioning but shame it’s so long between drinks.
