Airdate: Above Suspicion

There's plenty of Lynda La Plante mysteries to hook you on Nine over summer.

Above_SuspicionAs previously reported, next week Nine screens the three-part series The Commander, by renowned UK crime writer Lynda La Plante.

Tomorrow night it also airs 2009’s Above Suspicion, described as her “younger, sassier successor to Prime Suspect.”

Detective Constable Anna Travis (Kelly Reilly) follows her first murder case, when a string of prostitutes have been found dead. With no compelling leads, the case is just two weeks away from being declared “cold” and having its resources withdrawn.

Nine will air both parts air in one hit on Wednesday, December 9 at 9.30pm.

The first of 3 Commander tales begins Wednesday, December 16 at 9.30pm.

Presumably Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve will mean the next 2 parts follow early in the New Year.
