Cast return to East West 101

Susie Porter, Don Hany and Aaron Fa’aoso will all return for the third series of SBS' award-winning crime drama.

Following news that a third series of East West 101 was approved by SBS, the network has now confirmed the return of actors Susie Porter, Don Hany and Aaron Fa’aoso.

Peter Andrikidis is also back to direct.

The award-winning series will return in early 2011, which means other dramas shouldn’t see it compete in this year’s AFIs. But there are still Logie nominations ahead.

The seven part series will explore the fallout from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan through crimes committed in Australia.

  1. why do we have to wait until 2011 to see the best show on tv.we stumbled on 101 by accident so clearly not enough publicity on the show.we look forward to it every week ,something we do not do with anything out there on tv.congratulations on a great show,we can not fault anything about it but how do we survive until 2011??????

  2. This show is fantastic – get to the 2010 Logies voting website and vote for the cast and this show to get the Logies recognizing some quality Aussie drama!

  3. Sadly Alvin and Derek it has nothing to do with the network (sure SBS numbers will always be last), it has to do with the quality. If it is good it wont work on commerical tv. Maybe Ten but i think too grity.

  4. Why don’t ten buy this brilliant show off sbs like how nine stole topgear. Ten could advertise this a lot and people will start to watch it because its such a great show and therefore good ratings, also ten needs some good aussie drama.

  5. Sadly I wonder if this brilliant show’s ratings are a reflection of the fact that it is on SBS rather than 9. I could see 9 pushing it with major advertising, teaming it with something like Underbelly.

Now that I think about it though, 9 couldn’t produce this without ruining it.

  6. I am really happy that there is a third season of the show, however, i wish that i didn’t have to wait for at least a year to watch it. It’s too long between seasons
