Paris-Roubaix, the most prestigious single-day professional road cycling race in the calendar, returns to SBS ONE this weekend.

Held in northern France and known as the ‘Hell of the North’, the 260km gruelling race starts in Compiègne and finishes in Roubaix. Known for its difficult terrain including many cobblestone sectors, the race winner even receives a cobblestone trophy.

Stuart O’Grady, the first Australian in history to win the event (2007), competes once again.

Other major cycling events also coming up on SBS in April are the UCI BMX Supercross World Cup, the 72nd Gent-Wevelgem, the UCI Track Cycling World Championships and the Tour of Flanders.

Paris-Roubaix, airs live on Sunday 11th April at 10pm hosted by SBS cycling expert Mike Tomalaris with commentary from Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen.
