Airdate: 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships

Track Cycling is live in primetime on SBS TWO next month.

SBS will broadcast the 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships Live and in primetime over five consecutive evenings on SBS TWO this April.

The UCI Track Cycling World Championships is the most prestigious track cycling event, featuring the best riders from more than 40 countries. The 2012 event will be held at Hisense Arena in Melbourne and is the final qualifying event in the lead up to the 2012 London Olympic Games.

The 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships will feature Australia’s current world champions Anna Meares, Jack Bobridge and Shane Perkins.

SBS’s coverage will be hosted by Michael Tomalaris with insight from SBS Cycling Analyst David McKenzie. Former professional cyclist Kate Bates will be reporting at the event, while Sydney Olympic gold medallist Scott McGrory and Matthew Keenan will provide commentary. SBS Reporter Sophie Smith will provide exclusive reports for Cycling Central online.

The latest news, results, videos and highlights from the event plus live streaming, including both day and night sessions, will be available online at www.sbs.com.au/cyclingcentral.

Live at 7:00pm each night from Wednesday 4 April to Sunday 8 April on SBS TWO.
Highlights will be shown at 5:30pm each night from Thursday 5 April to Monday 9 April on SBS ONE.
Cycling Central will be live from the event at 5:00pm Sunday 8 April on SBS ONE.
