CSI franchise (back) to GO!

GO! will return episodes of CSI (all three of them) to its schedule later this month.

GO! will return episodes of CSI (all three of them) to its schedule from Friday May 28.

Three eps of the franchise will air from 8:30 – 11:30pm. All are reruns.

When the channel first launched it had CSI as part of a weekend crime night but decided to drop it because the shows weren’t deemed the right fit for younger viewers. Movies were added instead.

Looks like that theory just went out the window…

Together with Big Bang Theory, V, Top Gear (and even shelved plans to replay Underbelly) there is increasingly less distinction between Nine and GO! The trick is just to work out where the first-run episodes can be found.

7:30 Blackadder
8:00 Allo Allo
8:30 CSI “Room Service” S6E2
9:30 CSI: Miami “From the Grave” S4E1
10:30 CSI: NY “Summer in the City” S2E1

  1. Good to see the networks screening series until there conclusion bringing more value, more choice for viewers. Does this mean there will be less viewers for the main channels?

  2. So annoying to see GO! head in the direction it is. It really shouldn’t be a surprise with who’s running it but there was some genuine hope in the beginning.

  3. Good comment David about the blurring of Nine and Go!

Not sure why Nine went to the trouble of establishing a separate brand when it has simply become a Nine2.

TV shows shouldn’t be so readily being swapped between the two channels, especially if Go! is allegedly targetting a youth market, which many Nine shows clearly do not.

Go! seems to be a case of Nine’s testlab without a testplan. A mishmash of throwing things at the wall and see what sticks, not a huge amount of actual direction, foresight and planning to be seen.

  4. Based on their overall programming, it still seems unclear exactly what age demographic GO! is targetting. I wonder if the Nine network know themselves.

  5. Yes I would like to see Cold Case and Without a Trace get a rerun too perferably on a friday night so there isn’t too much CSI’s. I’m more into CSI Miami but nonetheless it’s good enough to watch on a friday night.

  6. In that regard, can Cold Case, Without a Trace, Damages can also be shown on Go! What about a Crime theme night with all those shows on primetime??

  7. Yeeaaahh!!!!

sorry had to do that 🙂 I believe at the moment GO! are showing Horror movies at 11:30pm on Friday nights – which is pretty cool.

I think what’s going to happen is only First Run shows (the new episodes) will appear on C9 whilst their reruns will run on GO! – catch up service channel?

Also any else agree CSI Miami has gone down hill lately?
