Nine News hijacks TEN News footage

Is that a Nine watermark or a TEN watermark? Who cares as long as we see the Socceroos arriving.

Nine News must have missed out on getting the crucial moment of the Socceroos arrival at Durban Stadium earlier this week.

Instead they “borrowed” TEN News footage and whacked a Nine watermark over TEN’s.

This doesn’t look too good hot on the heels of those copycat promos for Rescue Special Ops.

Maybe the Nine News team was busy attending to taser burns at the time….?

  1. @Jax – that may be the case but wouldn’t they then have “Courtesy of TEN News”?

    FYI checking the talk shows last night on The Comedy Channel and their logo moves to the left or right at the bottom depending on where CBS or NBC have their station logos.

  2. I am sure Ch9 would have asked Ten’s permission for the footage – it happens all the time, when a network misses out on an opportunity or wants to use that footage, they can request it.

  3. Not as bad as 7 did the other week for Jessica’s homecoming special. They ripped the audio feed from ONEHDs exclusive interview with the parents, played the track as their own (not at any point did they acknowledge the sound was from ONEHD) while using their own stock footage. I only noticed it was a blantant rip as I had just watched the interview minutes before on ONEHD.

  4. Why do people always have a go at David, he’s unbaised IMHO, calls it like he sees it. I love coming on here seeing networks get caught out. I don’t watch commercial news, so great to see them get slammed!

  6. just a couple of points …they (the netwroks) all do it…there is nothing wrong with what David is writing…and i think 9 put their news watermark in the same spot every night …i think it is unfortunate that it just happens to be in the same spot or similar spot to TENs watermark…anyway, most opinions are relevant here… and they have ripped it directed it off air…i cant see the big issue apart that 9 have a stronger logo than TEN maye they need to solid up there logo for news…just like they all do…i writing in circles…need to go to bed…LOL

  7. I can’ t believe people still watch Nine for ‘News”. For god’s sake, if this is what people expect as a news bulletin, the right to vote should be denied.

  8. @all.. If you don’t like it don’t watch it…!!! Are you being forced to watch.? You only pay for the ABC and SBS news… watch them only… Bunch of hypocrites…
