On the edge of historic tennis glory, Aussie Sam Stosur will continue her thrilling grand slam journey tonight in the French Open semi-final, live on Channel Nine.

Stosur’s women’s semi-final showdown will be broadcast live from Roland Garros tonight at 11.15pm AEST on Nine.

In an incredible match on Wednesday, seventh-seeded Stosur defeated world number one Serena Williams to secure a place in the semi-final against Serbian fourth seed, Jelena Jankovic.

After going down in the 2009 French Open semi-final to eventual winner Svetlana Kuznetsova, a determined and confident Stosur is still on track to become the first Australian to win the women’s singles crown at the French Open since Margaret Court in 1973.

The match is also Live on FOX Sports 3 / 3HD.

  1. good news, thought they only had rights for highlights. as that moment the guides show they wont show either the mens or womens final live.

  2. Considering the NRL Footy Show is scheduled to end at 11pm, what are they going to show between 11pm and 11:15?

    Oh that’s right, the NRL Footy Show usually finishes at 11:30pm Every Week. How silly of me to think Nine would stick to schedule 😛

  3. geez, they must not have had a lot of faith in stosur before yesterday’s match… not that i blame them with some of the easy shots she missed…

    And those who like Jankovic, the air shot her opponent made was hilarious! hopefully they’ll put it on youtube

  4. Which is interesting. The Stosur/Jankovic game is the second match on court. Before that is another semifinal that starts at 10pm AEST. So what happens if the first match goes over time… Stosur/Jankovic might not start until 1am AEST. If you’re setting your PVR for the late night Footy show… you might need to pass on this week.
