Returning: City Homicide

City Homicide returns with a double episode, including guest star Val Lehman.

Seven’s City Homicide returns to screens at 8:30pm Wednesday July 14th with a double episode “Aussie! Aussie! Aussie! and “Good Cop / Bad Cop.”

In a gripping two hour murder mystery, a routine homicide investigation for the crew turns into a defence of one of their own, when Det. Simon Joyner is put in the frame for murder. Guest starring Georgie Parker.

The first episode was reviewed last week by TV Tonight here.

Former Prisoner star Val Lehman will also guest star in the second episode.

  1. It’s a perfectly fine timeslot, and I am glad it is back. Many of the other dramas I watch are starting to wind up in the next several weeks. And really, its up to the network as to when they put something on. Keep in mind its also up against Lie to Me and Criminal Intent on ten, and every show has its competitors each night on its competing channels. So my theory is that whatever night 7 decided to put it on, it would still go up against something else popular.

  2. Wouldn’t World’s Strictest Parents been better off on Monday 7.30pm to go with Parenthood instead of Border Security and The Force, instead of puting it on 7.30pm Wednesday before City Homicide. They should move Border and The Force to Wednesday to go with CH and put WSP on Monday 7.30pm.

  3. Don’t ch7 learn anything. Last year it got thumped when going up against hey hey although hey Hey has dropped off. But don’t put it up against spicks and specks and the gruen transfer.

What are 7 going to replace Desperate Housewives with? Its the 2hr finale next week. Although im not sure that 7 wants 2 Aussie dramas going head to head.

  4. Well that’s an interesting move. Does this mean Tim Worner doesn’t think CH is strong enough for Monday nights? It delivered it’s worst figures in the Wednesday slot didn’t it? I guess it also cleverly snookers RSO at Mondays. This also means Offspring will have to be programmed against an Aussie drama – Monday or Wednesday. I’m assuming LAC will take over Sea Patrol’s slot. Carnage ahead for Aussie drama in the second half of this year!

  5. Not thrilled will Wednesday timeslot. It probably won’t rate as well as it deserves up against Spicks and Specks, Gruen Transfer and Lie to Me. And i watch those programs also so gonna be difficult, might have to go back to watchign Spicks on ABC2.
Sunday night would have been a much better timeslot, as long as Dancing with the D-Grade Stars finished on time unlike last night. But even Monday would be better.
