Seven’s next game show Beat the Star, will premiere 7:30pm Tuesday September 7th, replacing Minute to Win It.
As first revealed by TV Tonight, Daniel MacPerson is host of the show that sees a game show contestant competing with a celebrity in extreme mental and physical games.
First celebrity will be My Kitchen Rules chef Manu Feildel.
Every week an average Aussie family will go up against a celebrity in a series of gruelling challenges and take home $50,000 if they beat the star. The games are athletic, brain-boggling and simply out-of-this-world, ensuring the contenders – and the audience at home – are always on their toes. Can the stars keep their heads held high? Or will the challengers leave them red-faced? This week the Mort family will challenge sexy French chef Manu Feildel. Will he be able to stand the heat? Hosted by Daniel MacPherson.
The show is based on a German format called Beat the Host, which was also picked up in the UK by ITV.

It is the Dancing with the stars set.
What’s with the set? It looks like it’s come straight out of Dancing With The Stars.
I predict it will be slaughtered by generation and top gear
I didn’t notice that Minute to Win it has started airing and about to finish, how come nobody talks about it?
Cross-promotion? On Seven? No, I refuse to believe it.
I know that many people would have probably guessed this already, but this news pretty much confirms that after the auditions week, The X Factor will screen Sunday and Monday nights.
I would love it if they named it Beat The Host….
I still prefer my original idea of taking the title literally. Eveyone gets a baseball back – sit back and watch the carnage. Last celebrity standing gets their own series on 7.
I guess this near confirms The X factor for a permanent Sunday performance and Monday results show.
I lasted about 30 seconds watching Minute to Win It, but I won’t this rubbish for even one second.
