This is of course, the Jerry Seinfeld-created series in which celebrities give fleeting advice to couples with even more fleeting marital dilemmas, but it has attracted some big names.

So far the rollcall has included Tina Fey, Jerry Seinfeld, Eva Longoria Parker, Larry David, Madonna, Ricky Gervais, Martha Stewart, Jason Alexander, Alec Baldwin, Kelly Ripa, Kirstie Alley, Jimmy Fallon, Sheryl Crow, Nathan Lane, Kathy Griffin, Tracy Morgan, Donald Trump, Gloria Estefan, Martin Short, Sarah Silverman, Matthew Broderick, Gwyneth Paltrow, Howie Mandel, Bette Midler and Demi Moore. Guests like that certainly warrant attention.

In April Seven put its plans for a local series by Southern Star on ice after calling for Aussie couples to be put through the wringer. The show was already in pre-production when Seven hit the pause button, promising to look at it again “later in the year.”

It is still advertising for couples.

  1. i think thurs 9:30. surely it won’t be any higher profile slot than that? it’s been a while since an import variety show made commercial primetime. usually i’m against this but in this case i think it is worth skipping the premier and playing them out of order. the show gets quite good towards the end when everyone is more relaxed.
