First it was GEM, now 7mate tweaks its line-up ahead of its channel launch.

Yesterday this site ran news of GEM’s first amendment before it had even hit screens.
Now 7mate has matched it, with a list of amendments ahead of its launch on September 25.
Some of these are minimal changes of episode changes and Consumer Advice changes, which are standard industry practice.
Deal or No Deal also gets a 5:30am screening on weekdays.
The most significant change is NBC Today show will now one hour less than planned, from 9-11am with Riptide to air at 11am.
More programming detail for 7mate is expected later today.

Crap- the full Today show was the single only thing I was gonna actually watch on this channel !!!
How long till we find out those TBA’s for 7 mate ?
So people buy HD tv’s to see movies during the day from 1948 on GEM and programmes from 70’s on 7 mate. Crazy.
@vinny : I hope so!
I was just thinking of all my favourite 80s shows that I’d like to watch again & that was one on my list.
I love those buddy-detective shows, Burn Notice is the only one that matches it now.
Hopefully that means getting rid of all those TBA’s on their advanced tv guide.
Glad there isn’t a tv show called TBA.
I think Go and 7two had amendments before launch so it is just fine tuning all the channels, let’s just hope it is not a sign of things to come and amendments after launch are minimal unlike with Go.
NBC Today will be airing on 7mate with a lot less commercials than in the US, so the bulk of the first three hours (before Kathy Lee and Hoda take over) should still be screened.
I see your amendment, and raise you…
David do you mean Riptide , the TV detective series that ran on NBC from 1983 to 1986 ?
Vinny: No Riptide 1969!
The change means only half of weekday editions of NBC Today will be shown. If Seven is clever enough, it should screen the first two hours on Seven from 4am to 6am, with the last two hours on 7mate from 9am to 11am. Or better still, show the entire program from midnight to 4am on 7TWO.
Okay what’s the point of showing NBC Today if they are still going to cut it back an hour?
