why are they skipping ahead in the old christine episodes ?
@Tomothy – Wonderful movies. Have another look. You may change your mind.
It was confirmed on the gem facebook page.
tomothy – do yourself a favour mate and watch both movies, they are classics in their own right.
@vid. no. 7mate will launch on grand final day with gem the next day. the 24th will just be the launch of the ad loop.
that is one crap schedule. no effort at all
With the exception of Wife Swap, it doesn’t look too bad. I fear they will be showing midday matinee movies in the prime-time slots.
Kudo’s to Win Tasmania for giving it to us as the same time as the mainland.
I don’t reckon I’ll see 7mate or 11 before July next year 🙁
And friends at 6:30 will finally give me something different to watch instead of ACA/TT/ten news
It would be good if they had more themed channels than all these old repeated shows… like a Doco, Home, Cooking, Lifestyle, Arts channels… TV is so good in USA, here is just all old repeated stuff on all these so called new channels and offer nothing new at all.
So, I can see myself not watching anything on here. I so want to see the ratings for Singin in’ the Rain and Gypsy!! How terrible are these movies!!
Thanks for Facebook info guys.
Tomothy, aside from the fact you are presumably not in the demo GEM is chasing, Singin in the Rain and Gypsy are anything other than terrible. When did you watch them last?

GEM confirmed on their Facebook page that NBN will be getting GEM on launch.
Search for GEM on Facebook or the link to the GEM Facebook page is on the GO! and Channel9 Facebook pages…
Funny, Nine confirmed NBN on their GEM facebook page.
The only interesting thing there is Weeds.
There are however NRL prelim finals on 24-25 September on the soft launch days, with the NRL Grand Final on 3 October.

Good they are simulcasting Today (not that I watch) will Seven be doing likewise in the morning so you get Sunrise in HD? Oh wait they’re showing the US Today show in the morning… wonder how long that will last?
Wait does Nine have the UK rights to “Who Do You Think You Are?” which version are they showing?
and it looks like Nine will be the first with 3 channels!! woohoo!
I wanna know 7mate! Please release it 7!
No surprise there, all ordinary stuff. Why FTA stations were allowed to have another channel is beyond me
Well done Nine!
Not necessarily a bad schedule, just that I’m completely the opposite to the target demo so I won’t watch much apart from maybe Sea Patrol repeats at 4.
Yoiks, at least the movies sound great, love the oldies !
Ugh.
So does this mean NBN viewers miss out?
NBN not confirmed by Nine yet.
*cough* NBN too *cough*
