It’s the Jimmy Channel

The Comedy Channel will become Jimmy Fallon's own channel for one night only.

To celebrate the return of Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday December 7, the Comedy Channel will become the Jimmy Channel for one night only.

Fallon will be hosting from 6.30pm onwards introducing each show as it goes to air in the lead up to Late Night With Jimmy Fallon at 10.30pm.

It will be be followed by a repeat of Best of Saturday Night Live: Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon seems genuinely happy to be coming back to TV in Australia, having tweeted about it and telling media, “I don’t know what happened, I don’t know what went wrong, I thought we were in love with each other.

“I thought we had a relationship and then somehow I got a tweet that said ‘dude where are you guys, you’re not on anymore’ and I’m like ‘what?'”

  1. F Leno and Fallon, where is Kimmel at? They put Kimmel on at the time Comedy channel had a ridiculous schedule with 7 talk shows in a row. Then they complain noone watch. F That, put Kimmel on again with/instead of Fallon

  2. The question comes up every now and then about Australian tonight shows and there really isn’t the celebrity pool to sustain 5 nights a week

I think we could manage 2 nights per week no problem though

Craig Ferguson is coming to AUS FTA ?? OMG really ?!?

  3. Craig Ferguson is coming to Comedy.

Nice! I haven’t seen much of it, but it has all been great. His being Scottish should make it play really well in Aus.

I wish they’d bring back Kimmel.

Oh and F. Jay Leno. I just finished reading the Bill Carter book on the whole Conan/Leno thing. I guess the whole issue with Leno is, he has no integrity. He just wants to do a monologue and nothing else. Even guests describe him as pay no attention during interviews. With the whole Conan thing, it was his Jays lack of any integrity which is why people dislike him for it. He was wronged, but just stood their and took it every step of the way. He should have fought for the Tonight Show if he didn’t want to leave. Or gone to another network. Instead of letting hopeless executives push him around, not standing up for himself which then put the hard situations, the decisions that require integrity onto others who’s situation his lack of integrity had made much worse.

  4. Anyone else get the feeling the CC knows it screwed up by removing the talk shows and are now trying to make up for it. Now if only we could have a few of the others like Craig Ferguson or Jimmy Kimmel, I’d even take Jay Leno, speaking of. Why doesn’t Seven show him on 7TWO or 7MATE?
