3. I find Lisa, Georgie and Karl far more authentic and watchable than the Mumsie shtick of Mel and the nerdy and slightly pious Kochie. Lisa balances out Karl’s quirks really nicely, and Georgie is just great in every role – reader, interviewer, banterer (no such word, i know). Love Emma and Stevie (Emma is a great find from 2010). Only Fordham grates on me, and that is more from the foot in door journalism that he has displayedon ACA. Today has almost always been the one to watch for me, going back to Liebman/Kellaway, Negus/Newell, Grimshaw etc.

5. This sort of thing was a regular occurrence in the early day of television. It was a place where anything could happen and the Audience can read into it what they like then and now. From Graham Kennedy’s famous “crow call”. words are full of double entendre for us to take away from them what we like. Well done Today for making 06:30 am a fun time when usually we all struggle to open out eyes. Im sure if the director though a profanity took place, he would have had 7 seconds up his sleeve.
