  1. We watched Sunrise this morning,Andrew O keefe is a disgrace smiling and trying to crack jokes while Sam was remaining serious and professional. He should be taken off the air,the guy is a fool at the best of times but today they should of had a professional newsreader co hosting with Sam.They should of got Mark Ferguson to co host.

  2. Do you think you should have a this post updates forum?
As numerous bulletins are being added and extended on schedules across networks today…
    Heres what we know:

Sunrise on 7 from 7am until Midday (Live across country though)
Seven News special with Jennifer Keyte 4:30pm
Seven News Special hour long edition 6pm

Today on 9 extended until 10am (Delayed across country)
9News hour long Special 5pm with Wendy Kingston

  3. I was disgusted at Peter Overtons coment on nine last night saying ‘it looks like a atom bomb hit’ just to make the earthquake/tsunami more dramatic, it was disrespetful to the victims of the tragic Hiroshima bombings which in no way can be compared to this natural disaster. I know a lot of people in Japan and if they were to see that said on Japan’s new services, they would expect the person to be fired and apologise asap.

  4. @Paul

Yes, the Weekend Sunrise guy is Andrew O’Keefe and he is getting strange looks from Samantha every time he tries to pronounce a city or prefectures name in a stereotypical Japanese accent. Really inappropriate.

  5. Still don’t get the need to cover a quarter of the screen with graffiti, obscuring vision we want to see. Does ABC24 need to have “Breaking News” at both top & bottom of the screen? Don’t we know, well, hello, it IS “breaking news”. You don’t have to tell us!
SBS did it best with a feed from BBC, using NHK World, but at least with less graffiti.

  6. I’m watching Sunrise special coverage on the Japan earthquake.
The male report is really disturbing. He appears to be quite enjoying it while you can clearly see others showing sympathy from their hearts.

    Whats his name?
