  1. @ Camo, I find it hard to believe that a 7 cameraman would be so ” in the know ” about such matters. I think you might be just trying to justify why nine hasn’t included any 7 personalities. It would be in 7’s interest to have some of their personalities presenting. What a load of b.s

  2. Yawn! Yawn! Yawn! Celebrities??? I don’t know most of them!!! Won’t be watching anyways….The logie Awards are always the same old same old…..nobody takes them seriously (except for the recipients of the awards!!). I’d rather watch the weeds grow in my backyard…….

  3. just spoke with a news cameraman mate of mine from 7…he tells me that 7 have forbidden any of there personalities to appear on the telecast in a hosting format…and if they do appear to push the 7 brand whenever they get a chance…which will more than likely be when each award is given…its should be like the amercian networks…i see other stars from other networks on the late night talk shows…even the hosts plug the time and day it would appear….. but then the TV industry is small and needy in this country…

  4. @alec, much as I love Chris Lilley’s work, I think he’s one of those comedians who doesn’t do funny unless it’s in his work, so it could make for some awkward banter when he’s a presenter, particularly as in years gone by the so-called humorous lead in by presenters to actually handing out awards has been mortifying at times.

  5. @Michael “Why wld 9 have 7 celeb’s on the Logies” – because they have in years past. TV Tonight archives has details of the presenters which covered all of the 5 networks. The Logies is supposedly not about Channel Nine.

  6. Obviously 9 need ways to compensate for the fact they won’t be winning any awards.

I don’t expect any different from the red carpet coverage. Last year every rescue special ops and getaway person had their own individual lengthy interview. While packed to the rafters and home and away (26noms between them) had a few seconds of a group interview.

It’s a shame because before last year 9 had always made an effort to present a cross section of the tv world.

  7. @ Camo. Couldn’t agree more with you. The people who post on this site seem 2 be 9 hater’s, maybe they all work for 7 network!! Why wld 9 have 7 celeb’s on the Logies..

  8. “bashing 9 again” – Well, looks like viewers are doing the same. Seven 10/10 in ratings weeks wins pretty much confirms that. Point is – logies is supposed to be a bipartisan thing, but clearly Nine has turned this year into a Ninefest.
Wonder if Karl will get to present “Best Breakfast Program”-“And the winner is…choke, choke, Sunrise”.

  9. @ Camo, 7 get’s a pretty good bashing here as well, in case you haven’t noticed. But it is a bit obvious that 9 have deliberately made sure there are no 7 personalities presenting awards. Maybe it is time for the Logies to go to another network, one that isn’t quite so biased.

  10. no 7 personalities…who cares…. is this another way of bashing 9 again…which seems to becoming a popular thing to do on this website now….. by all contributors….

  11. What else would you expect froma “Boy’s Club” like Channel 9?
I noticed the only real talent Channel 9 has, Lisa Wilkonson, is missing too

  12. OK let’s see how good the Sarah Murdoch joke is. Maybe they’ll get her to do a fake award or will she take herself so seriously she won’t acknowledge her TV claim to fame?
