ONE has announced timeslots its new shows for its relaunch week beginning May 8th.
Sport remains on the channel across weekends and weekdays.

One hd you use to be the best channel on free to air tv but now it’s no more of a sports channel then 7 or 9. What happened to the live NBL, slam ball, NCAA basketball march madness, college football, etc. Instead of shows that could be played on eleven. You suck. Going down hill without brakes. Brick wall ahead in 3….2…..1!!!!!!
Come on ONE, where’s the Impact Wrestling from TNA? Don’t lose the sports focus, just branch out into other sports and sports variety shows like Gladiators, wipeout, etc.
@ APM, this channel was good to start with, now its going down hill big time. No need to pay more, just leave shit alone.
US sports to be shown during the day: NBA, NFL, and NHL which will appeal to the target audience and maybe replays of AFL matches during the day, then entertainment at night.
@Chris. Better hope so, but I’ll have Foxtel by then so will not worry about Nine’s broadcast. BBC has eight channels plus red button service (dumps BBC Parliament during the games), foxtel has six and nine has just three channels.

Yes these are changing times. As expected the raiders of the rich and wealthy have definitely made their mark on Network Ten. They have so far managed to successfully dilute the channel which was known as a 24 hr Sports channel. My guess is that unless the content on ONE is male orientated ie Sports which men play then it will for sure be axed, unfortunetly their is some content on ONE which in my opinion is not male orientated ie: Axe Men but if it rates it will continue to be on.
I wonder what will happen next. One thing is for sure that in an attempt to cut costs and improve the companies revenue i would not be surprised if most of the on air staff at the Network don’t get their contracts renewed. The only shows which will survive will be shows which rate, that goes for all the genres and in all of the time slots. We are yet to see what the new board and more importantly James Warburton do to the Network. My tip is watch this space.
a sports channel mainly without sport what a rip off
as usual, theres always people (especially here) complaining on new channels.. or in this case a channel re-launch. to those people, stop it!! its Free entertainment, you want better then cough up some extra cash and get foxtel. if not, learn to wait and the programming will get better over time. also to those saying ‘why are they making it a guy channel only like 7mate?’ um, theres sports on the channel which is mostly for guys anyway. One aren’t gonna get rid of them so they stay, so they add some guy shows for extra entertainment. having a mixture of female shows and sport would just be wierd!! and to the complainers again, no channel anywhere can have excellent quality programming 24/7, if you think you can do better then get a job at the programming department and show them a better weekly lineup!
An Idiot Abroad FTW!!! Best show ever, gotta love Karl Pilkington. Just need to have The Ricky Gervais Show and i wont watch any other channel

David, I was watching a recording I had made of the Game Plan on Sunday night, and during the segment where the panel interviews Jon Ralph from the Herald Sun it became very obvious that he was being filmed behind a blue screen with the office overlayed in the background. About ½ way through his interview, two men all of sudden magically appeared in the background on desks behind him! Did you see this and have you ever seen this before? Would make an interesting bit of light fluff story.
Also note during the same show that when they “cross” to Matthew Campbell at sportsbet, he has the same background behind him every single time. Its obvious because one of the screens is showing a Channel 9 broadcast of a ODI cricket game… the same one all the time!

To people saying it’s a “competitior” to 7mate, did ONE ever directly say that or say they were just marketing to the same demographic. I think ONE is going to keep with it’s “clean cut” look, with sports, documentaries and top quality drama like Sons of Anarchy.
ONE is already on the up with ratings, currently sitting at 2.0
Am hoping they that ONE keeps The WWE Experience in some timeslot and as other people stated It’d be awesome if they could grab Man Vs Wild from SBS, The Ultimate Fighter from GO! (even airing older seasons from Foxtel) and some top quality HD Documentarys from Discovery or The History channel.
TEN targets the “middle” age group, Eleven goes “young”, why can’t ONE go slightly “older”?
Where are shows like Psych, Saving Grace or even True Blood and The Walking Dead?
Very disappointed with the new shows.
Happy that F1 and Mega structures are still there but I hope they will show more NBA and Baseball. It would be great if they also show a few NHL games, at least the Stanley Cup.
Man vs Wild would be a great show to poach from SBS in addition to a gamer show like Playr.
In regards to increasing viewer share, this is a good start. But what I don’t understand is why they want to re-make the channel so its direct competition to 7MATE. The reason 9 launched GEM was so it wasnt direct competition and offered the opposite (female programming). 10 would have been smarter making it into a doco, movie or music channel so it is not direct competition but gains a larger viewer share than a 24/7 sports channel. I do however like how they have movies on ONE HD now (loved seeing Hitman in HD the other month)
If we cant have 24/7 sport then i guess this is a decent compromise. You’d really hope that the Monday May 9 AFL broadcast would be Live though, seems to be a on a 1 hour delay (not this again….)
its good they’ve kept the sports programs like OWAAT, Game Plan and RPM – but FInal Siren seems to be missing, as are the other variety shows like the Soccer and Golf programs.
UFC back is a good idea – I’d move the PPV replays to 10pm, or even 8.30!
Big absentee is the netball – looks like they got shafted…. and lucky for the NBL their season is almost over. They might not be back in 2011/2012.
David any idea why the Zknicks v Celtics game wasn’t on ONE nor ESPN. Crazy stuff…
Stripped programming at 6, 630 and 7 is not surprising.
Bondi REscue will actually prob pul pretty decent numbers.
The sked is a bit dull 730 -1030 though.
When Terriers, Breakout Kings, Lights Ot etc premiere – the channel will look a bit better.
My guess is they are waiting a few weeks till viewing numbers are up so they can launch and promote off the back of more people.
What the Hell? if that’s the line up they should have left it as a sports channel. i am really dissapointed at ten for this. i think ONE should stay a sport only channel with the action programs added. this new line up makes it almost a complete waste of a channel.
With regard to 7MATE and GEM the will become SD channels in 2013 when the analogue signal is turned off as the channels will have room to expand again (with no analogue channels) and the 7 and 9 will regain their HD simulcast back.
Talking about HD sport. will Nine show the 2012 Olympics in HD on GEM. Or will they change their mind like the Ashes and all the other Sport.
OneHD should show TNA Impact! on their channel since it is no longer on Fox8. OnHD used to show TNA xplosion, they should bring it back as well.
