Ooops. To vote for Jessica, SMS “Rebecca.”
During Nine's broadcast of the Logie Awards there was an error in the information given for phone voting for the Gold.

Last night during Nine’s broadcast of the Logie Awards there was an error in the information given for phone voting for the Gold.
As this image indicates, SMS information for Jessica Marais was inaccurate telling viewers to “SMS Rebecca to 199 52 900.”
Given voting was still open for the Gold it was a pretty serious breach.
The error wasn’t even picked up when it ran the voting information again later.

Is that what that show was last night? Thought it was a replay of the Brownlow medal.
I think cries of it being rigged are nonsense. But it’s certainly proof of their incompetence, which seems to be endemic to the entire Network.
embarrassing mistake but had no effect on the result. you would have to be stupid to SMS Rebecca and think you’re voting for Jessica.
Its good to see ‘seven fans’ are clutching at straws after not winning the gold, and how everybody on seven deserves gold but nobody on nine does! remember Ray Meagher last year. he was so deserving haha
@deedeedragons. there are less channel seven stars on the red carpet, is that seven holds back there stars until the end of the red carpet ceremony in order to disrupt nines coverage.
@Ranco why would it cost Gibney votes? it would give her votes.
@JB if we followed your logic nearly every gold logie winner would not have won, rove, ray, kate, etc..
As if anyone voting for Jessica would text “Rebecca”. I hardly think this would have affected the outcome.
Karl would of still won
Terrible.
Channel nine rigged. As if Karl could have one the gold loggia it’s bs
@sarah h – yes, it was shocking! Poor Margot!! The same thing happened to Charles Cottier when they showed Ryan Corby instead of Charles during the New Talent nominations. Both of these young actors were robbed of their moment in the spotlight. It would never have happened if they’d been Channel 9 talent…
See it was rigged. Nine really are pathetic. Can’t do anything right and can only win Logies by riggin the compeition. Not based on worthiness, just who has more friends to vote.
@ Ranco….. Mate..have a good look at the graphic….. its going to disadvantage jessica!…. have a close look at the number that u text… its the same number!!! so therefore what name u text goes towards that person… so in actual fact Rebecca was at better odds to win than jessica…if the viewers where reading the graphic… but there could be a loophole because the presenters where saying how to vote as well…
Little to no Seven stars in red carpet special, only Ten & Seven actors had botched camera shots & now this, all very suss.
What a joke!!! Just shows how phony this so called awards show is!!! I say take the award off the winner and start the voting procedure all over again!!
No wonder Karl won.. lol.
An ABC Breakfast radio listener phoned in this morning with a query. She phoned up the Logies voting number to vote for Asher Keddie, was greeted with “Thanks for voting for Karl”. Wrong number or conspiracy ??
Oh, those crafty logies guys. That actually could of cost Gibney her logie.
She was robbed. 😛
Ouch, thats a fairly serious mistake, how could it slip through the net??
You would have to be pretty stupid to SMS Rebecca and think you’re voting for Jessica.
Seriously. I wonder sometimes if Nine really knows how many mistakes they make in their on-air presentation. Certainly much more than any of the other networks.
recount then?
Thats why the result was so Channel 9..
…sigh !
Could there be a recall??
Very silly mistake, although I doubt it would have affected the overall result.
not surprising, channel 9 should have just handed it to their boy without the hoopla.
also, who saw the botch job during margot robbie’s nomination? they panned in on the wrong girl, and didnt even show her in the divided screens (showing all 5 nominees for that category) – even though margot was right there.
Not Sarah Murdoch’s fault.
