Ready, Steady, Cook fans already miss Peter Everett
Some TEN viewers got a bit of a shock yesterday when new episodes of Ready, Steady, Cook aired, but without host Peter Everett.

Some TEN viewers got a bit of a shock yesterday when fresh episodes of Ready, Steady, Cook with new host Colin Lane hit the screens.
Maybe they hadn’t heard he was replacing Peter Everett.
A wave of comments hit TV Tonight yesterday afternoon, almost all of which were upset that Everett would no longer be appearing on the popular show.
Many of them let fly at TEN:
Liz: Sorry to see you go Pete, loved the show because you were in it. Not the same without you, always looked forward to your happy, genuine self. Channel 10… not happy!
Penny: Very shocked that Peter would not be hosting anymore, my 14 month old daughter loved ready steady cook, once it came on today and she didn’t see Peter on the screen she was not interested anymore and turned away. Peter was the show, and its boring now!
Lynette: I love Peter & the show but without Peter I am not interested in watching anymore, he made the show. So sad. Good luck Peter for your future.
Beatrice Timmis: i love ready steady cook but peter everett was the show i watched it every day i loved it from the moment it started till it finished sorry but i will not watch it any more even for the reciepes i will continue to buy the book why do you do things like that i dont know

Kay Warrop: After watching the first edition of Ready Steady Cook with new hoast I was very dissapointed as Peter Everett really made the show so now you have not only lost a veiwer for this show but for other shows as well. Hope he comes back with another channel.

Bring Back Peter Everett he was the life of that show. Channel ten you are gone gone gone.
Hilary Bell: Oh, no, only 20 minutes into the new show and Colin Lane looks like a duck out of water. He spends more time looking at the camera than at what is being cooked. Please bring back Peter Everett – a delightful man who drove the chefs crazy on occasions but had a delightful personality with lots of hugs (and self deprecation so often) but he was really interested in what was going on and added so much fun to the show.
But some were glad to see him replaced with Lane:
Sharon: My husband and I both agree that peter Everett was so inappropriate with contestants and chefs alike, we are glad he is gone and hope that the series keeps going with the new host as we do like the show.

What were you thinking channel 10? Grow some balls and bring back Pete. He made the show and you mungrels reeped the benefits from it. Colin is as dry as a menopausal woman and has no talent what so ever. Never watching the show again and word of mouth will “Make You or Break You”. Love you Pete always.
Bang bang bang bang. Another nail into your credibility coffin Channel 10. You’ve managed to relegate RSC to just another (yawn) boring cooking show. What with axing, cancelling and shortening of programs, the only reliable thing about the channel is rhat you can now almost certainly land in an ad nauseam adfest when selecting Channel 10.
I was thinking Peter had quit seeing he did a brilliant job on the show and bringing some humor into it each day. Now you have this other bloke on the show and I find him a big boring. So then I switch channels. This dude it a try hard Peter Everett, he’s trying to copy Pete’s voice and style….Sorry! He will never be Peter Everett.
As for 10 sacking him? Let the viewers know why? Why sack someone who brought in 3 logies for the show. If it aint broken…..Why fix it? You’ve lost my viewing.
I loved RSC when Pete was host, his people skills and genuine interest in them. Colin’s sposed to be a comedian, I dont find him funny in the slightest. I and many others loved Pete’s sense of humour and his ad lib’ing at times!
Definitely a big mistake Channel 10 …..

i miss peter:(( he was so much fun! i like ready steady cook with Colin but it,s just like every other cooking show now…..I just kept on watching thinking peter was on holidays, peter put fun into the show with his unique personality!! the show needs some life back into it!!! bring peter back:)) sorry Colin but your just not as quirky as peter…..good bye ready steady cook….
Why change hosts on Ready, Setty, Cook…don’t try to fix what isn’t broken! But my goodness – is broken now! Boring as! Very disappointing!
Poor Pete – what a shock for him as well as everyone else ? He did have a quirkey sense of humour which we loved.
Please explain ????? How does a show get nominated for logies 3 times & then someone decides to axe the host…. lets see if it will be nominated again or even last with viewers dropping off like flies…. Peter put a quirky & always funny style to the show. Sorry to say Colin does not , so no more RSC for me and a big rasberry (not the cooking type) to the idiot who came up with the stupid idea to get rid of Peter. All your fans Peter wish you well & would love to see you back……
colin lane looks really akward on this show, he doesnt look natural like peter did, although peter was quite annoying sometimes he did bring something unique to the show and it wont be the same without him
My wife and I are very disappointed to say the least at the departure of a funny and warming tv host, Peter. I hope your lack of ratings will back up the statements we the fan group are trying to make.
I am most Devastated find out that Peter is no longer the host. Whilst I like Colin, and this is no offence to him, but Peter made your show and without him, I cannot watch. It does not have the ‘pizazz’ that he gave it.
Pleeeease bring Peter back….he was a pefect host.
There was nothing inappropriate about Peter Everett- he made the show funny and brought out the best in the chefs as they clearly went along with the gags and obviously enjoyed them. Now it’s just flat and boring. I hardly watch it anymore and I know I’m not the only one. I just hope that one of the other channels picks up a contract with Peter because there’s an audience ready made whenever he comes on. Stupid, stupid move Chanel Ten.
I agree that sometimes Peter was inappropriate but that’s what made the show fun! Too much PC makes for boring viewing.
We miss you peter an we always will. Colin lane just doesnt cut it. He does not bring cheerines to the millions of viewers. Because of him we now never bother to watch the show. We would rather watch monarch of the glen. lol. but seriously colin just doesnt cut it.

Like everyone else, I so miss Peter on RSC. I don’t watch the show now either, it’s just so flat. We all loved Peter, love the chefs & the cooking, but cannot watch the show now without Peter. Please bring him back.
Ready, Steady, Cook really needs to be hosted by a chef! The UK version, which is hosted by Ainsley Harriott, is so much more entertaining than the Australian version. Having a host who knows almost nothing about food is pretty much like watching The Footy Show hosted by The Wiggles!
I will not be watching RSC any more there are so many crap cook shows on TV. Ready Steady Cook with Pete Everett was the only show I watched. I am a 69 year old male and loved the show. Now it’s just another cooking show.

Bring back peter. Who was the idiot who decided a change was needed? Peter was perfect. The new guy is boring. If somethings not broke, dont fix it. Wake up 10.
We always watched Ready Steady Cook buts its just not the same without Peter Everett. He really made the show enjoyable. He was very funny, natural and sincere. We have tried to give the new guy a go but we want Peter Back.

Where is Peter? Did he leave or was he replaced? I, as many, won’t be watching the show anymore, as many have said, it’s just not the same without him. Who is this “dork” that has replaced him anyway. Never heard of him. I am sure the chefs miss Peter too. I realise that some things do have to change but surely Ch 10 can do better than this unfunny character thats’ on there now. Bring back Pete.
