  1. oh my god… talk about hilarious and cringe factor. i could hardly watch.. but sooo awkward!!!… worth a giggle to think thank god you’re not in some of their shoes.

  2. FWIW, and not that I always agree, but I think David calls it as he sees it. No network seems to receive his favour or disfavour on a consistent basis.

  3. Couldn’t believe when i heard this guy was hosting this show,he should not host any show he is lucky he is even on TV at all.Yeah sure we have not seen it,but i guarantee this will stink.I think David if people are not fans of particular people no matter what the show they will not watch it this is one of them

  4. I agree with Allie (and David ) that it’s a bit rich to say the show is boring when it hasn’t aired yet lol. I think it looks like good light hearted entertainment, will give it a go.

  5. judging from the promos the woman in the premiere’s episode looks boring. but i would tune in to whatever episode it is with that guy that goes on the 3 dates. definately looks like it has shades of Come Dine With Me.

  6. Manu has charm and no doubt the girls will all wish to be dating him and not the other contenders.
No doubt each ep will hav eone guy who is an ‘unusual pick’ to add some spice.
If htey can make it a little bit like come dine with me then it could actually be good.

  7. I forgot to mention that I do find Manu hot though and so are other French men, must be the accent, and in that regard, I’m biased towards french men too!

    1. Chk chk: I reckon I’ve been accused of bias to all the networks at one stage or another, and no doubt I will be again. I do write with opinion, but there are TV mags at supermarkets if people prefer a different tone.

  8. Yeah how can people tell it’s a boring show? Yes the host is pretty boring, he’s been on MKR, then DWTS, now this… but the actual show hasn’t aired yet. That being said, dating type shows don’t usually do well in Australia, but this show could be different, who knows?

@ Allie & Ingle, I think it’s expected to do fairly well, because it’s airing after the Australia’s Got Talent finale. With the great lead-in it will no doubt get, I think Seven would be disappointed if it doesn’t do well.

  9. If Seven has chosen some of the best material to use in their promos, I think I agree with some of the previous comments.

It has all the makings of a lemon.

I’ll give it a look, but from what I’ve seen so far, it won’t be a very long look!

    1. Chk Chk: I think if you’re going to suggest I am somehow biased to Seven (and readers can decide that) you should declare your Nine bias, as your previous comments on the site and your (undicsclosed) email address would suggest. Allie gets that a show on any network should at least air before somebody says its a boring show…

  10. Indeed. How can you say it’s boring when it hasn’t even hit the airwaves? Are you psychic? It sounds like a fun piece of fluff that is being buried in a relatively late timeslot. I’m sure it will go quite well, given that 9.30pm shows are not really expected to set the world on fire.
