Amazing Race fans who have been asking about the new series can breathe a sigh of relief.
The new series starts in the US today and will premiere on Seven at 9:30pm on Thursday October 6th.
Seven will begin with a double episode to bring us up to date.
That will see new episodes broadcast 4 days after the US.
This means both Amazing Race and Survivor, which starts tomorrow night on Nine, are now being fast-tracked to Aussie audiences.

Not happy too much on Thurs and cannot record it all!
i wonder how it will rate with a great local verson behind us
Thank you David for posting and thank you 7 for bringing it back to Thursday’s
The original & The Best Returns.
Can’t wait:):):)
So happy 🙂
@David Lol it certainly does feel like it’s been going that long, still good entertainment though 🙂
Love it.
Don’t you mean Season 19 David?
I thought 312 was funnier.
@David Knox , i remember that , maybe you can let us know what the ratings were for it when it showed on 7mate last time please david as a curiosity factor.Be it in HD or SD as debated here , it wont change until end of 2013 and by then i guess theyll change from MPEG2 to MPEG4 for more bandwidth. In theory this may alllow more than 1 HD channel so who knows we may get lucky and have the primary channels back and a few others too.
Great news! I too don’t understand why people are whinging. It’s on, its being fast-tracked, it’s on Seven so everyone can watch it, what more do you want? Was it even shown in HD when it was on 7mate earlier in the year? Gosh, be happy people!
What season is this one ?
Melmac: 312.
Come on people! it’s no real big deal that it won’t be in HD, at least we are getting it fast tracked so we won’t be months & months behind the US. It’s not like that there are that many shows that can be seen in HD on free to air in Australia at the moment anyway. The last season it was on 7mate & because viewers living in Regional SA don’t have the extra digital multi channels yet (they are coming on November the 11th), I had to wait for the replay on the main Seven Channel on Sunday mornings.
for god sake stop whinging about not being in HD. Bloody how, we will be up to date next Thursday and thats all that matters
Good news Seven. Given me something to watch on Thursday nights. Wish it were at 7:30pm though but as long as its on the air i don’t care.
complaing about it being not in HD….really?? Majority of viewers wouldn’t know the difference.
Do people remember when it was fast-tracked just on 7mate and some people complained about missing out? The only answer is primary channels become HD, but that’s end of 2013 I suspect….
It’s good to see that the networks are listening! I don’t care what time it is on, or if it is in HD! It just means I don’t have to download it and I am more than prepared to watch it on TV as long as it’s not delayed by weeks.
Yay! Great to have it back. But its a pity they don’t have it on earlier. More like 730pm. Also wouldn’t mind if they could repeat it on 7mate on a Sunday afternoon.
Despite my whinging I am really excited to have The Amazing Race back. Love the show and look forward to watching it.
Bring on Survivor!!
I can’t believe that people are still whinging…”it’s not in HD”, “It’s on too late”…boohoo….it’s on and that’s all that matters!
Survivor back on the main channel. It did seem odd throwing a first-run series with a history on Nine, over to Go! last season.
Good news that The Amazing Race will be fasttracked. Bad news is that I will have to stay up to watch the show And it won’t be shown in HD.
Good stuff , looking forward to it.Pity its not 8.30PM , thats a good time but its better than nothing i guess.
Well done channel 7 and 9 for doing things right! In the long run it is the best thing for all parties concerned.
So what…it’s not in HD.
