Mornings with Ita?
There is speculation Nine is chasing the resurgent Ita Buttrose for a morning TV revamp.

Ita Buttrose is the latest name to be thrown into the ring of the morning TV market, with speculation Nine is chasing her amid a revamp of its morning programming.
Buttrose has been enjoying a resurgence ever since ABC’s Paper Giants miniseries, including commentary during Nine’s Royal Wedding coverage and a guest role coming up on Celebrity Apprentice.
A Nine insider tells the Daily Telegraph the Kerri-Anne format and content are being overhauled.
“It could become a panel or a duo – (Buttrose) could do either,” they tipped.
“Everyone wants her, but Nine especially,” an industry source said. “They are definitely courting her.”
Nine did not deny the move yesterday.
This week Nine drew upon Catriona Rowntree plus Amanda Keller and Brendan Jones as guest hosts.

I love both Ita and KAK, but I hope KAK isn’t tossed aside after her loyalty to Nine over the years. A panel type show sounds interesting, that way there would be a place for both of them, as well as others.
It wouldn’t really broaden the demographic of the show. I’d say Ita and Kerri-Anne appeal to the same audience and I don’t really see what Ita has that Kerri doesn’t. IMO, now that Paper Giants has come and gone the “interest” in Ita will disappear (if it hasn’t already), which sounds harsh but that’s just the way I see it.

Would definately get some traction with *ahem* the older demographics…
I can’t think of anything more annoying than listening to that lisp every morning…..
If true it would be a massive change in direction from where the other networks are going and thats why it might just work.
Sounds like a right turn at the political round about to me !
