TEN is officially out of ideas -here comes Devil Wears Prada, again!

James Warburton needs to talk to TEN's Programming department about lazy recycling of their movies, pronto.

TEN has just scheduled The Devil Wears Prada -again.

It’s scheduled for 8:30pm tomorrow night.

TEN played the movie in January, and before that October, July, and umpteen times before it.

Newsflash. We are not in non-ratings.

Does TEN think so little of its audience that it can’t offer them something better?

If TEN programmers are switching off creative programming, it’s time for viewers to respond and just switch off TEN.

  1. The past yr Ten has treated its viewers like shit! There is only 1 show that has stayed the same in the past few yrs and thats Ncis, everything else keeps getting different days and timeslots. Ten needs to understand when we watch tv we have more than 1 channel to choose from so them thinking ” well i can just move this again and people will follow” is f**n stupid!
Then we have the repeats of movies aaaahhhhhhh someone kill me now, how dumb are they?

  2. The tragedy here is that Ten is in real trouble. Horrendous ratings means poor revenue that leaves them no money to spend on content. They have had a shocking start to the year and it takes no time at all for advertisers to choose to spend their money elsewhere. No cash coupled with poor content leads to even lower ratings…….the downward spiral is spinning.

  3. The challenge is set for those with a OZTAM ratings box: Ensure SBS1 outrates TEN into fifth place on Friday night! Show TEN the contempt they deserve!

  4. I agree with others, ONE should return to bring a sport channel. I used to watch ONE alot but since Murdoch got involved I think he has tried hard to protect his other network. They have nothing of interest anymore. Growing up I watched alot of CH 10. Where has it gone wrong ?

  5. I saw the ad this morning, and I just knew there would be lots of comments here. Funnily enough I still haven’t watched this movie, but Misfits is on that night.

  6. People already have switched off Ten. And this is exactly why. The network is out of ideas, and should probably be put out of its misery.

White Collar, Blue Bloods, Raising Hope, Being Human….Where’s these shows???

    David Mott needs to go.

  7. This is truly ridiculous. I have a collection of over 300 movies at home in various formats. Maybe TEN should stream from my PC.
No wonder TEN are getting lower than ABC1 more frequently, its like they want to fail.

Get rid of the remaining 8pm 1hr show start times, burn the 5 movie dvds your own, and get some new programmers.

  8. @ David – in regards to your DVD comment, I think it has just about come to that as there is no reason why their movie library isn’t bigger. Maybe TEN should be the first commercial network to invest in launching a STV movie channel and then borrowing their movies. This has successfully been done in the U.S. by CBS’s Showtime, ABC and NBC’s investment in Lifetime Movie Network, and FOX’s FOX Movie Channel. SBS owns World Movie Channel and it seems to be playing movies from it’s library so why not take the leap and try it out? What’s the worse thing that can happen, TEN’s Friday 8:30pm slot gets named “Friday Night Movie brought to you by Groundhog Day”?

  9. Maybe they got a cheap deal where every 4th screening is free! I know their demographic is out fridays and they want to save money but i’d be happy if they showed some movie classics that would be equally cheap. Also someone must be watching these reruns for them to keep playing them!?

  10. Also, if anyone missed any of the last five thousand screenings of Happy Gilmore, The Wedding Singer, Mrs. Doubtfire, Love Actually or Back To The Future, don’t worry, you’ll get another chance to barf at the sight of these films shown ad nauseam yet again.

  11. Who can blame them? They only get single figure ratings on Fridays so why bother with anything that people want to watch?

Trouble is, there is a lot of lazy programming – Big Bang Theory obviously, plus as mentioned Harry Potter and now, see how many more times Indiana Jones surfaces this year after the surprise results of the past few weeks.

  12. Nooooooo! It’s not possible! Surely this is a joke. Maybe it’s April Fool’s Day come early.

Newsflash, idiots at Channel 10: there are over 400 new movies produced every year — and that’s just in the US alone. How about showing one of those new movies instead? Or is your budget so incredibly low (like your ratings) that you can’t afford any new movies? Is that why you keep slopping out repeats?

  13. I’d like to see ONE go back to covering some sports. And properly.
As for Ch10’s Movie department, I’ve got a better range than they have currently.
With that said, I’ve noticed that Channel Nein use Go! and GEM to pretty much show the same movies over and over and over…..

  14. Are they serious!! Ch 10 used to be the only commercial channel I watched but it has become totally unwatchable. They are a joke! Thank god for ABC, SBS and Foxtel!
