Seven is making further changes to its Monday night line-up from next week, by returning Castle with new episodes.
This bumps back several other shows as a result.
Season 5 of Castle picks up the morning after Castle and Beckett’s decision to finally give in to temptation. Shades of Moonlighting perhaps?
After a much anticipated ‘will they’ or ‘won’t they,’ Castle and Beckett finally gave in to their feelings. Now on the proverbial morning after, the pair faces new questions. Was this a one-time fling, or are they now a couple? But before they can figure out the answers to their relationship uncertainties, they must take on the forces responsible for Beckett’s mother’s murder that now threaten Beckett’s life.
Monday October 29
7:30pm The X Factor
8:45pm Castle
9:45pm Scandal
10:45pm The Amazing Race
11:45pm Suits
Up All Night is out.

I’m not watching Castle on Monday but if and when they put it elsewhere I’ll go back to watching. I just hope they play it from the start of the season again later. I’m in no hurry. If not then I guess it’ll be another show I’ll give up.
As for the new timeslot announcements. I appreciate the attempt at honesty. Although I’ll admit I prefer more sensible timeslots. However I do like that they are trying to be truthful.
What’s even more baffling about Seven’s treatment of TAR is how it can treat it like crap, but then invest in a local version and expect us to watch that.
@ Pertinax was talking about White Collar
@ Pertinax I wish 10 had shown season 2 in one go and promoted it. I will buy S2 and 3 on DVD since I missed half of one and all of the other! A great show with dreadful programming!
@D@PG
Yes Seven has been trying. But a couple of times they have failed to run as late as they intended and started shows 7 or 8 minutes early.
@deedeedragons
Ten have started repeating season 3 of White Collar on Friday nights. So you might get new episodes in your Christmas stocking.
@nik c
To stop other network from showing it and competing with them.
At the very least 7 actually shows it’s USA shows. Where is new White Collar 10?
Not happy at all about TAR. Oh well at least its still no. I wouldn’t mind though if they could repeat it on a Sunday arvo.
Yep, let’s jam another half-decent show into an already crowded Monday night. Wonder if there’s a spike in electricity usage as everybody fires up their recording devices?
Once again The Amazing race gets shifted. Just put it on 7mate at a reasonable time. I agree with Nic, why fast track a show if you are gonna treat it this way? I think i’ll stop watching it now and go to bed instead.
@AndrewG What do you expect from 7 when its a comedy they seem to hate tem bar Mrs Browns Boys and HIMYM
This is why I gave up watching TAR a long time ago.
Tried Scandal for the first 10 mins – couldn’t follow the ‘plot’ as everyone was talking way too fast for anything to comprehend. Pass.
But at least 7 seems to be trying by advising the proper programme starting times during the past few weeks. Even with their news releases (see above).
Why fast track and show it at 10ish and now estimated 10:45 ?!?
Thanks David I can rely on you to give me the latest. Especially seeing Suits is my favourite show on right now.
At least Suits is still on and the dreadfully unfunny Up All Night got the shaft.
Casket (Beckett and Castle) has been good so far this season, no shades of Moonlighting yet, most fans are going to love the season so far. Shame it wasn’t bought back sooner but they are on a break this week in the US so we shouldn’t be too far behind.
TAR is being screwed by seven. Maybe Channel 10 should buy the rights cause at least there will be something on 10 and it would be at a reasonable hour. Watched the first ep of Up All Night some time ago and it was a good show and rated well in it’s first episode and then it too got screwed.
I wonder what the timeshift figures are for something like Suits and TAR, probably like 80% of the audience for Suits especially.
