Dawn French has been signed as the second judge for Australia's Got Talent.

2013-03-18_1927Dawn French has been signed as the second judge for Australia’s Got Talent.

The UK star joins with Mel B on the Nine judging desk.

The panel is also being expanded to 4 judges.

French is very popular with Australian audiences thanks to her UK comedies French & Saunders and The Vicar of Dibley.

“Dawn is widely recognised and adored by Australians and her contribution to the show will deliver on our promise for a bigger and better series,” said Nine’s head of television Michael Healy.

Media are again tipping Dannii Minogue as Mel B’s judge on The X Factor.

TV Tonight understands the next two judges to be revealed are Australian.

Seven better hope Nine hasn’t signed Guy Sebastian…

  1. Seems like Guy won’t be doing X Factor. You can hear it from his own mouth here: mix1011.com.au/shows/drive/listen/guy-sebastian-announces-hes-leaving-x-factor

  2. I honestly think AGT is going to be very interesting this year on Ch 9 much better than how it was on ch 7- Hope 7 realise even though it costed them alot of money to produce etc it has now costed them alot more etc- viewers now tuning more to 9- would love to see AGT vs XF! The Judging panel on XF has gone downhill (except for Danni- I like her) Nat B annoys me.

  3. Well, we already know who’ll be sponsoring AGT.. I can see the wall-to-wall Coles and Jenny Craig ads now.

Any Aussie male celebs currently fronting ad campaigns? Roger Corser (Hyundai could sponsor too).. maybe Kris Smith (throw Myer in the mix as well.. and would be funny to have Dannii’s ex replacing her as a judge)..

  4. Wonder who the Aussie judges will be. My tip is they will go with Nine personalities to cross promote. Will it be Karl or Richard Wilkins. Woild love to see someone like Brian Mannix. What about a host. Anyone but Stevie Jacobs.

  5. I loved those Coles ads, they were hilarious! Then again I often sing “Down, down, prices are down” at my housemate most days until she puts her ‘angry brows’ on. Excited to see Dawn in Australia again 🙂
