SKY News: Budget 2013

SKY News channels have announced their coverage of the Federal Budget on May 14.

2013-04-24_1631SKY News channels have announced their Live, multi-channel, multi-platform coverage of the Federal Budget on May 14, beginning from 7pm.

Even before Treasurer Wayne Swan hands down his sixth budget, the SKY News team will be on the air Live from Canberra and the SKY News Centre.

From 7pm Helen Dalley and Carson Scott along with a panel of experts will preview what we can expect to hear from the Treasurer in this election year.

At 7.30pm Wayne Swan will present his economic blueprint to the House of Representatives and you’ll see every moment Live.

Once all is revealed, SKY News Political Editor David Speers, SKY News Chief Political Reporter Kieran Gilbert and SKY News Business Editor James Daggar-Nickson will present the most in-depth and incisive analysis available including interviews with the Treasurer and his oppositional counterpart Joe Hockey.

Budget 2013 continues until 10pm on SKY News Business, while on SKY News National at 9pm join Paul Murray for a special Budget edition of Paul Murray Live, examining how it all will affect the man and woman on the street.

At 10pm on SKY News Business, Carson Scott gets reaction from the corporate sector with a Business Roundtable.

A-PAC Australia’s Public Affairs Channel will present complete replays of the Treasurer’s speech and news conference throughout the evening while SKY News Multiview will have channels dedicated to instant reaction.

Viewers will also be able to view the coverage Live on their iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch or iPad mini using the Foxtel Go app.

  1. Yes, of course ABC News 24 will be offering Live, HD and ad free Coverage of the budget from 6.00pm AEST. Without Graham Richardson. Without News Ltd. bias. And…oh yes…without Andrew Bolt.

  2. Imagine a post-election media landscape in which our only sources for news are commercial. Senator Cory Bernardi has been appointed Minister for Communications in the new Abott government and his first act is to close down the ABC. Sky News, 7, 9 and 10 are our only sources for local political news.

  3. My advice,don’t watch it on Sky it’s a waste of time. unless you only won’t a conservative view.

    Here’s the rundown, No matter how good or bad the Budget is, Sky News will pan it, Sky will roll out the Conservative women like Amanda Vanstone, to tell us how bad the Budget island the world is coming to an end!

    Notice how Sky News is following Fox News approach. Sky seems to be hiring more and more Conservative women to combat the Misogyny claims.
