Brandon out of Survivor finale?

Has Brandon been banned from the Survivor finale? And what's in store for the next season? Minor spoilers.

2013-03-14_2110Minor Spoiler: According to former Survivor bad guy, Russell Hantz, his nephew Brandon Hantz has won’t be appearing at the finale episode.

Russell tweeted: Brandon Hantz will not be at the live show due to Phillips pussy ass* RT please 🙂

Whether it’s a blanket ban or it’s Brandon’s choice isn’t clear but Russell went on to tweet: They told Brandon Phillip is too scared !! But they can’t stop me from going!

Meanwhile there are online rumours that the next season will remain in The Philippines and will be cast with returnees paired with family members or loved ones.

Don’t expect to see any of the Hantz family.

The finale begins from 8:30pm Monday on GO!

  1. Erik or Cochrane for the win. I was sorry that Brenda got voted out but don’t especially blame anyone for voting for her-that’s the game. A big part of Survivor is whether or not to trust others, don’t trust anyone on Survivor. As for the Hantz’s, keep them off the Survivor sets for good, they are too close to crazy as far as I’m concerned.

  2. So if Dawn had waited another week to vote out Brenda then that would have been OK??? I agree that the fault is as much on Brenda’s side as Dawn. Brenda should have realised she’d be a massive target, as she’s been doing well in challenges and is well liked. Yet as alfagirl said, she was smugly sitting as tribal council when Andrea got voted out, and looked pretty safe and smug this last tribal council too. Fitted in perfectly with the beginning of the episode with Brenda telling us that ‘be humble’ was great advice from her Dad. I think she kinda forgot it in the end…A humbler person might have seen the danger.

  3. What Dawn did was not bad in the normal game of survivor! But in the case it was despicable! Brenda got Dawn through alot of troubled times out there and for Dawn to lie to her and show her no respect and blindsiding her was just awful! I would’ve been really hurt! Don’t worry no way will Dawn win! Everyone of the jury members so far don’t want her to if you watch the latest ponderosa clip online! And that’s most of jury there now so she’s stuffed! Dumb move Dawn!

  5. Brenda needs to get over herself. Wasn’t she sitting at tribal council grinning from ear to ear when Andrea was blindsided? Brenda is a real threat in challenges and seemed nice but had to go. The blubbering at the end was truly ridiculous. I’d love Cochrane to win.

  6. Yeah, that’s the juggling act isn’t it? One of the many reasons this show is still so compelling after all these years. Still I think the worst seasons have been the ones with bitter juries.

  7. Yeah, it’s true Brenda was a nice person. I just don’t think that gives her a pass from being betrayed by her alliance. Survivor would be pretty boring if the winner was decided by how nice people are.

    1. Dawn’s obligation to Brenda seemed to disappear pretty fast, but she noted that being loyal previously didn’t get her to the end. The brilliance of the format is that those you betray hold your fate in their hands.

  8. Brenda did a lot for Dawn,remember when Brenda retrieved Dawn’s teeth? As for the immunity challenge I think Brenda let her have it so I guess that’s why some people aren’t too happy with Dawn.

  9. Poor Dawn. I really dislike it when players receive so much hate just for playing the game. She really couldn’t have won in a final 3 against Brenda either, so it wasn’t necessarily a bad move to get rid of her. I guess she just hadn’t counted on Brenda taking it so personally. Looks like there isn’t anyone left who has a good shot of beating Cochran assuming he can make it to the final.

  10. Wow, everyone’s hating on Dawn, she wasn’t the only one who voted out Brenda, it was a group decision. No one says anything about the others. Brenda stopped her from having the reward with her loved ones, by giving it to the others. She should have taken the reward, she won it, she earned it.

  12. Couldn’t they have Brandon on the show via satellite? That way if things got noisy they could turn him off. Perhaps they don’t want the meltdown to be the focus of the finale. Anyway lets hope Dawn doesn’t win,sorry billbeast I’m going for Cochran!

  13. Yeah, I saw that Tweet from Russell yesterday. He is really gunning for Phillip, asking everyone on Twitter where he is.

    Be interesting to see what explanation they give for his absence.

    And apparently Dawn has deleted her Twitter account on advice from CBS. She has been getting a lot of hate.

Their contracts require then to be at the finale (remember Jeff saying it at the 2004 All-Stars finale when Jerri walked out after being booed), however I think the contract can be avoided with special circumstances. Also with this finale someone gets medically evacuated according to Facebook. Hope it’s Kiss of Death Dawn! She’s the reason my Favourites Corinne, Malcolm and Brenda are gone! Cochran better not win!

  16. I love survivor, I would love to have an opportunity to be on the US version, as for this season I am loving it, thanks ch9/GO for broadcasting it.. Go Eddy
